Cameron & Max got in touch saying they wanted a simple ceremony on their 9th anniversary of being together.
“We’ve been together 9 years and are now looking looking for a simple wedding,” they wrote.
Given they just wanted the bare necessities, they gave our Celebrant no instructions other than:
“Arrive at the specified time in the afternoon, have a quick chat, do the ceremony, take some photos. Probably semi formal, but light summer clothes. Max may sew a dress in the next few weeks.”
No personalisation, no over-thinking the formalities.
Regardless, Celebrant Anita Revel couldn’t help but have a tiny little cry when pronouncing them officially married.
“Sometimes these simple ceremonies are more powerful than the full-blown ones — every word is honed, and focuses precisely on the reason we are here — to get the couple married,” she said.
The couple did hire a photographer though! The ceremony took 3.5 minutes, and the photo session following, 45 minutes.

The result?
An ecstatically happy couple, and a 5-star review:
“My partner and I opted for a small a quick ceremony, which Anita was able to do for us. Anita was absolutely charming and made what we wanted quaint and quick, while still feeling like a special moment for us both. Max and I both really appreciated it, thank you Anita.”
