Indoors
Four curated spaces in one micro wedding venue
The gold door. A wall of gold sequins that makes people want to dance. A bay window Wes Anderson would happily sign off on. And the sweet-dreamers installation, all lace and light.
Every wall is a different backdrop, so two couples marrying on the same day can walk away with photographs that look nothing alike. Indoors also means the weather is somebody else’s problem.
Outdoors
Or step outside, into Lovers Lane
Arcoiris, the rainbow mural, for couples who want colour. The BIG LOVE sculpture for the shot everyone ends up taking. Both a few steps from the front door, both yours to use.
Plenty of couples say their vows inside and spill out for the photos. Lovers Lane is evolving month to month – you will know which backdrop is right for you when you arrive.

Not everything that happens here is a wedding
The Office is a working space as well as a ceremony space. If one of these is what brought you here, follow the link and we’ll explain it properly.
Five-year contracts, sologamy, baby namings, vow renewals. If it’s a moment worth marking, Anita will design a ceremony for it – it doesn’t have to be a marriage.
Getting married somewhere else but need the notice witnessed and lodged properly, on time? We’ll do that piece on its own.

Photographers, planners, other celebrants and hot-deskers can hire the space by the hour. It also works as a photoshoot studio for branding and portrait sessions.
Milestone birthday photo fests, podcast recordings, small gatherings. The space holds ten standing, or six seated, and every wall is a different backdrop.

The bits people always ask
How soon can we get married?
One calendar month from the day your Notice of Intended Marriage is lodged. Send it today and your earliest date is a month from today. A NOIM stays valid for 18 months, so you can also book well ahead.
Is the marriage certificate included?
You’ll get a presentation certificate on the day, included in both packages. If you also want the official certified certificate – most people only need it for a name change, a visa or a passport – you order that from WA Births, Deaths & Marriages for $60. It’s a government fee that applies wherever you marry in WA, and we’ll show you how. It takes about two minutes.
Can we bring our dog?
Yes. Dogs on leads are welcome. Let us know they’re coming so we can make sure the Marriage Office mascot – Freddie Mercury, a mini dachshund – is off-site during your ceremony.
Do we need to pay a deposit?
Nothing to pay to enquire or check a date. Once you have chosen a package and accepted your quote, a booking fee confirms your date and time – Anita covers all of that when she sends the quote through.
What if we have more guests than that?
The Office holds up to 10 people, or 6 seated. If your list is longer, we can move you to one of our off-site partner venues. Tell us your numbers and we’ll make a recommendation.
Can we get married on a weekend?
Ceremonies at the Office run weekdays during school hours. We do accommodate weekend bookings, but vendors can be harder to get and a weekend surcharge applies.
