Next Steps to get married in a month
Thanks for your booking! I shall add your preferred date and time in my diary, and the Celebrant on duty will be in touch shortly to confirm.
In the meantime, here are some “next steps” you can do to make the paperwork a breeze…. (You might like to print this page as it’s a very handy checklist.)
Download a NOIM form and fill it out as much as you can. I can witness your signatures when we meet in person, or you can arrange any of the authorities on page 4 of the document to witness them for you.
For the foreseeable future, we can also witness your NOIM via Facetime/Zoom etc, so get in touch if you need this done *today*
2. Lodge the NOIM with your Celebrant (or here at the office with the Celebrant on duty) at least one calendar month before your wedding day, by:
- scanning and emailing a copy to mrmarriageoffice (at) gmail.com, or
- taking a photo and MMS’ing a copy to 0417937436.
3. Have your original birth certificates ready to show me, and/or your passports. By email is fine.
4. If either of you were married before, your Celebrant will need proof of how that marriage ended — a divorce or death certificate is acceptable.
5. Once your NOIM is lodged, we then know the earliest date you are allowed to marry. At that point, simply go to the calendar, book your preferred timeslot, and the Celebrant on duty that day will marry you!
As your Liaison Officer, it is my job to support you in getting the ceremony you want. So, any questions, I am at your service. Simply phone me on 0417 937 436 and I’ll help as best as I’m able.
Thank you again,
